He, or some of his surrogates, created two X accounts that impersonate him:
Martin A. Armstrong @ArmstrngEcon and Maritn A. Arrncrtong
One of these accounts, created 2015, mirrors his personal account as a member of his link farm, directing more traffic to his site.
The other account creates fake conversations with his main account, potentially triggering X's algorithm to boost Armstrong's visibility (replies increase "conversation" metrics).

The bot-like repetition screams automation.
Yet instead of simply reporting these accounts as fake or blocking their replies, he tolerates them because of their utility. This is the smoking gun. They’re his puppets, boosting his "genius" myth.
In his recent blog post Verifying X, he now plays the victim card. Then he double-dips by again boosting his ego:
There are people out there scamming whatever they can. I work way too much just in an advisory role. There is no way I am going back to managing money. Anyone using my name is a fraud. Some hedge funds are using our models, but they do not solicit using my name.
