At the very minimum this seems to be the conclusion of A Los Angeles Times critic who described the film as intended primarily as a name-clearing platform for Armstrong to relate his version of the events and that it lacked perspective due to its failure to present commentary from authorities (please refer to Martin Armstrong's Wikipedia article.
This piece of disinformation has had a large impact on the decision making process of people who got sucked into his scam. For example, please refer to: Fraudulent Blog Post Revisions
I got sucked in by the Forecaster movie - that’s a compelling story.
The truth is that Martin Armstrong committed a crime - he defrauded investors. He used money effectively stolen from investors to trade using his Socrates software. This generated spectacular losses of US $700 million. He then tried to hide these losses by creating a US $3 billion Ponzi scheme. This earned him the 11 year prison time. Before going to prison, he stashed away US $15 million of that stolen money and failed to return it. It is as simple as that.
Furthermore, new incontrovertible (self-incriminating) evidence has surfaced that Martin Armstrong is guilty of some of his committed crimes (Contempt of Court, Hiding assets) which he still denies:
A related piece of disinformation is the Aug 19 2015 claim that this film was banned in the United States. It never was - the message is in response to the fact that its reviews are devastating which it aims to conceal and to make the file more interesting.
After reading a few dozen pages of Martin Armstrong's blog site, it becomes obvious that a large portion of his material is disinformation. I cannot possibly keep track of all of it.The interesting characteristic part that common to most of them is the following:
His disinformation pieces are recycled disinformation, meaning that they had been debunked by 3rd party sources before he published them. His motivation for doing so (and the motivation of most charlatans) is most likely:
1) the fact that less intelligent people are more easily duped by such disinformation and by extension are more likely to become victims of his often related scams.
2) that he is a professional disinformation agent who derives 3rd party income from spreading it. This is extremely likely because spreading disinformation hurts his own credibility, a cost that he would want to be compensated for.
After consideration that spreading disinformation without direct benefit comes at a cost, the question remains what would be the benefit of doing it (apart from receiving monetary compensation)?
The answer is that the 3rd parties, the parties who wish to spread such messages using a professional disinformation agent, these parties enjoy the benefit of deniability. They remain anonymous while engaging in illegal or devious activities. Given the increasing amount of disinformation that Martin Armstrong spreads (easily 2 disinformation blogs per day), it appears that he is gravitating towards this type of malicious activity after the income of his own scams has dried up, especially after I started running my scam awareness campaigns.
In order to facilitate these disinformation campaigns and shield himself against criticism, Martin Armstrong runs an elaborate scheme of smearing the fact checkers and even Wikipedia, creating conspiracy theories around them. see:

It is especially concerning that Martin Armstrong has no qualifications whatsoever let alone medical, and that he is not exactly pro-life because he issued his own death threat.
